Dāmodara Relishes Go-Rasa

A Newly Composed Verse:
न्यषेधदहिराट् पुरा हि मम गोरसास्वादनं
जनन्यपि पुनस्तथैव कुरुतेऽतिरुष्टोऽस्म्यहम् ।
करिष्य अत एव तत्कलियुगे मुहुश्चेत्यसा-
वभूद्रसिकशास्त्रवित् कपटवेशदामोदरः ॥पृथ्वी॥
nyaṣedhad ahirāṭ purā hi mama go-rasāsvādanaṁ
janany api punas tathaiva kurute'ti-ruṣṭo'smy aham
kariṣya ata eva tat kali-yuge muhuś cety asāv
abhūd rasika-śāstra-vit kapaṭa-veśa-dāmodaraḥ
Translation: Previously the Lord of all Snakes (Balarāma) had prevented my go-rasa-āsvādana [earth-flavor-relishment] by preventing me from eating dirt.
Now my mother is again preventing the same go-rasa-āsvādana [cow-nectar-relishment] by tying me up. I am extremely angry now.
Therefore, in Kali-yuga, I will thoroughly perform go-rasa-āsvādana [Vedic Knowledge-nectar-relishment]" — thinking in this way our deceitfully dressed Dāmodara became the knower of all rasika literature. 🙂 _/\ò_
— Composed and Translated by Hari Pārṣada Dāsa. 28-Oct-2021.
PS: The term "go" has many meanings. Three meanings are used here — (1) Earth ; (2) Cow ; (3) Sarasvatī, the presiding deity of Vedic knowledge. The first two meanings are given in lexicons — svargeṣu paśu-vāg-vajra-dig-netra-ghṛṇi-bhū-jale (Amara-kośa 3.3.24). The third meaning of "go" as Sarasvati is given in the Vedic literature — sarasvatī hi gauḥ (Śatapatha-brāhmaṇa, 12/9/1/14).
